Viva Mexico!
I met up with Charley to help him drive down to Monterrey and to hang out down there for awhile. A few things I learned along the way:
Most of Texas sucks. Really.
People in Austin are not used to dealing with drunk people. Surprising, but true.
Getting across the border into Mexico is harder than getting back into the US.
Mexican Spanish is dirty. Be careful what you ask for.
Everything is legal in Mexico as long as you have money to pay the "fine."
Being booked on crowded flights gets you free trips to Europe.
And now, for the illiterate:
The view from the Hotel terrace:
The courtyard:
Our accomodations:
And inside:
The Sierra Madre:
Again:
Getting ready for the 500 ft. zipline:
We were in the process of setting this zipline up, and at this point it was still way too fast:
Oh yeah, we did some canyons too, but my camera's not waterproof, so check Charley's blog.
